Admission Program and Application Eligibility
01. Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science
• BSc (Hons) in Oceanography
• BSc (Hons) in Marine Fisheries
(A) Must have passed Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from Science branch with minimum G.P.A-4.00.
(B) In Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology should have “A” Grade in any 2 of the five subjects and minimum “B” Grade in all other subjects.
02. Faculty of Engineering and Technology
• BSc in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering
(A) Must have passed Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from Science Branch with minimum GPA-4.00.
(B) Must have “A” Grade in any 2 of the four subjects in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination. All other subjects must have a minimum "B" Grade.
03. Faculty of Maritime Governance and Policy
LLB (Hons) in Maritime Law
Must have passed Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from any branch with minimum GPA-3.5 and have minimum “B” Grade in all subjects.
04. Faculty of Shipping Administration
BBA in Part Management and Logistics
Must have passed Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from any branch with minimum GPA-3.5 and have minimum “B” Grade in all subjects.
Admission test subjects and distribution
There are separate subjects and distribution for each subject admission test. The time allotted for the test will be 90 minutes and the full standard will be 100 marks. The method of examination will be subjective and concise essay. Below are the topics and distribution of thematic admission tests -
- Oceanography / Marine Fisheries - English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering - English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and ICT
- (LLB (Hons) in Maritime Law and BBA in Part Management and Logistics) - Bengali, English, Analytical ability, ICT and general knowledge.
Application fee
Application fee for each program is BDT. 600 / -. The prescribed application fee can be paid through Mobile Banking (Cash / Development / Rocket / Sure Cash etc.) and Debit / Credit Card (VISA, Master Card, American Express).
